Project Engineer (Mechanical)

1. The project engineer (PR) shall be responsible to assist Client's Project manager in managing all activities of Project Management and Control of all upcoming projects
2. Prepare and review tender document and contracts
3. Evaluate bids
4. Manage and implement all contracts issued by client to the contractors and subcontractors
5. Ensuring company procedures for approvals/review are followed at all steps of the projects
6. Ensuring all project activities are undertaken as per schedules
7. Updating of project execution schedule and man hours loading/progress curve coordinating with project manager
8. Monitoring the project progress and keeping the project manager updated of progress and its impacts on the overall schedule of the project
9. Highlighting and solving areas of concern and bottlenecks, if any, in order to control the overall project schedule
10. Preparation of Estimate To Complete (ETC) and Estimate At Completion (EAC) schedules targeting the on-time completion of project
11. Prepare Bill of Quantities, Bill of Material items, Package equipment, Piping, Valves, Fittings, Supports etc from P&ID and Plot Plans
12. Be able to prepare detail specification of Mechanical Items, Package equipment, Piping, Valves, Fittings, Supports etc as per ASME, API and other relevant code and standards
13. Prepare tender document and contracts for Engineering, Construction and Procurement Works
14. Prepare cost estimates of project items
15. Prepare the purchase requisitions for material and equipment to be installed at site
16. Communication with vendors regarding Pre-bid and Post-bid clarifications
17. Prepare inspection and test plans for materials to be procured
18. Technical and commercial evaluation of company ordered material. Ensure that the vendor’s quotations follow international standard and best industrial practices
19. Expedite material procurement
20. Also able to order E&I equipment
21. Review and Comment on PFDs, P&IDs, and basic engineering package
22. Review and Comment on Mechanical Engineering drawings, Design Calculation, Datasheets etc
23. Ensure that the design follows international standard and best industrial practices
24. Preparation and monitoring of the cost and cash flow budget of the project and keeping the project manager updated
25. Preparation of Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate At Completion (EAC) costs

• B.Sc./BE Mechanical Engineering
• Additional qualification in the area of Project Management will be preferred
• 3 years+ Experience of Design/Engineering of Oil/Gas Plants
• Some experience of managing construction
• Proficient in using MS office, Prima-vera, AutoCAD, MS outlook
