RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to draft legal documents, contracts, deeds, and notices in an excellent way.
Handle communication with clients through emails or phone calls etc.
Prepare written replies by adding relevant legal provisions.
Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence
Able to complete task within given time and cope up with pressure.
Maintain contact lists
Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
Conduct legal research to provide guidance to clients or support the work of senior lawyers
Prepare legal documents and review/edit documents drafted by others
Manage cases from start to finish, including organizing case files, scheduling meetings and court appearances, and communicating with clients
Communicate with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and provide legal advice
Attend court appearances to represent clients and argue legal positions
Negotiate with opposing counsel or parties to reach settlements or other resolutions of disputes
Ensure that clients comply with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations
Contribute to business development efforts by networking, attending conferences, and identifying new business opportunities
Stay up-to-date with legal developments, attend professional development events, and obtain necessary certifications or licenses
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Minimum qualification required for this post is graduation with excellent writing skills but preference will be given to LLB or LLM with minimum two years of experience.
Proven working experience of at least two years as Legal Assistant.
Familiarity with law, legal procedures and official protocols.
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office.
Computer literacy
Proficiency in English
Working knowledge of case management software
Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
