• Program (G Code), Set-up & Run various machine tools on a CNC Vertical Machine Center.
• Edit program to optimize and/or correct machine performance.
• Read detailed part prints, job orders, tooling instructions and set up sheets for specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, fixtures, and cutting tools.
• Mount chucks, fixtures or other work holding devices.
• Select and load tools in proper tool holders and set tool offsets.
• Assure clearances between machine spindles, tool holders, parts and fixtures.
• Replace tools that dull or break during machining process.
• Must have proven skill to set up and operate Vertical 3 and 5 axis machine centers.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand center line rotation of Fixtures as applied to Vertical Machine set up.
• Good understanding of Edge and Centerline pick up on the Vertical Machine Center.
• Ensure all components produced meet specifications using appropriate measuring equipments such as (Micrometers, Vernier, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges and etc).

• Minimum requirement is SSC or DAE (in progress) in Mechanical preferred; however, experience may substitute for education.
• Ability to operate, and perform basic intermediate set-ups on various multi-axes milling & lathe machines such as Deckel, Dahlih, CTX, Tsugami, Mori Seiki etc.
• Ability to perform simple edit programs to optimize and/or correct performance of all above mentioned machines.
• Ability to load programs in machine memory from network and have ability to make program backups from machine to network computer.
