Job Description
• Maintain server system health to ensure reliability of server applications
• Implement and enhance strategies to increase reliability and decrease cost for server technology
• Participate on projects as needed and provide detailed plans and documentation to meet project deliverables
• Develop plans on how to make the environment more stable and supportable and communicate or present to management
• Document environment and ensure accuracy
• Provide recommendations on how to improve processes for internal operational effectiveness
• Develop and manage server standards
• Ensure standards are implemented and followed
• Work as a resource and representative of the team on projects and ensure deliverables are met on time
• Manage and prioritize personal tasks to ensure you are able to provide a status update at any time
• Secure server systems to ensure data integrity and availability
• Plan for future capacity needs and server refreshes
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation
• Some server experience in an enterprise environment
• Some Experience with VMWare in a production environment
• Some experience with Windows Server operating systems
• Some experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
• Some expertise with HP server systems
