Job Description
• Publish and deliver completed online help systems to the appropriate development teams.
• Use documentation templates to write application release-related material such as, but not limited to: release notes, quick reference cards, system operation and administrative manuals.
• Use templates and tools to develop maintain and publish eLearning courses.
• Upload and test eLearning courses in LMS (Learning Management System).
• Complete writing assignments regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology according to standards set by Microsoft Manual of Style, departmental documentation and eLearning style standards and best practices.
• Conduct research through interviewing subject matter experts and experimenting with software functionality in varying stages of development.
• Comprehend and communicate highly technical, complex subjects.
• Coordinate review activities between development and other varying teams.
• Participate in varying team meetings to gather information required to write the requested documentation.
• Conduct system validation testing as part of creating user documentation.
• Research and investigate issues found in software used to create documentation, online help and eLearning.
• Create information plans, content specifications, and user interface specifications.
• Create and translate functional and technical specifications to user documentation.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines when creating documentation, paying special attention to approved branding and copyright information.
• Strong working knowledge of using Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Design Suite
• Graphics design experience preferred
• Microsoft SharePoint experience
• Good command over Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• SnagIt experience
• LMS and SCORM compliancy experience
