Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• Working with a cloud-based micro services architecture to support and collaborate with the data platform
• CI/CD pipelines and tools
• Contribute to the design of the data platform
• Automate infrastructure deployment as code
Job Specification
Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of the core concepts of DevOps, microservices, systems administration, and monitoring/alerting
• Languages – Python, Java, Shell Scripting
• Build tools – Gradle
• Infrastructure Tools – Terraform, Chef
• Container Infrastructure – Docker and Docker Compose, ECS
• Databases – MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server
• Elastic Stack – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
• Source Control – Git and Bitbucket
• Linux administration (Ubuntu, Fedora, and/or Amazon Linux)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail (Application behaviour, Networking, Security)
• Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles and methodologies of overcoming security weaknesses within these frameworks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Pragmatic approach to risk mitigation
• Experience within Finance/Highly Regulated environments will give you an advantage
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
