As a BI Consultant, you would be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise wide business intelligence solutions for cross industry and functional areas. Successful candidates will have hands on experience implementing multidimensional reporting solutions utilizing Oracle Business Intelligence and a strong background in relational data modeling and ETL. The BI Consultant will participate in the development, and implementation of customer BI solutions utilizing Oracle’s Utility Analytics Solution, including integration with multi source databases and data warehouses using Oracle Warehouse Builder and Oracle Data Integrator. Job Responsibilities: · Work with clients to understand, analyze, and refine the application requirements · Design, develop and manage BI solutions to meet business needs. · Design data models including multidimensional data models and star schemas. · Design, develop, and modify interfaces and data mappings. · Research source data locations to validate reporting requirements. · Create reporting layers utilizing BI repository administration tools. · Develop standards and techniques to support aggregations as well as drill to detail reporting. · Serve as a mentor for other members of the development team to ensure data processing standards, guidelines and procedures are followed. · Perform performance tuning activities.
Desired Skills and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field · 2+ years consulting background · Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts, specifically designing and populating normalized data warehouses and star schema based data marts · Strong Database and Data warehouse concepts · Should be able to create Business Requirements/Functional Specifications Documents, BI Design Documents & Mapping Specification Documents · Familiarity with database centric applications · Ability to learn new concepts and software quickly and an analytical approach to problem solving · A passion for learning new technologies with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment· Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good time-management and organizational skills
