Job Description
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in VOIP Domain (WHOLESALE VOICE ONLY).
- Good knowledge of SIP & H.323 Protocol, Call Flow, Cause Codes, VOIP Codecs.
- Knowledge/HANDS ON EXPERIENCE of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), H.323, SDP, RTP, RTCP, TCAP & SS7 protocol suit.
- Experience on at least 2 SBC's like Sansay, Nextone, Sonus, VOS, Portaone, Veraz, Acme Packet etc.
- Master in troubleshooting VOIP Issues, Proficient with tools like Wireshark.
- Hands on knowledge on Nextone/ Sansay / Other SBC's (Provisioning/Troubleshooting/ Supporting etc.)
- Responsible to execute and provision interconnection of Supplier of Voip routes and Customers
- Responsible to test the quality of the route, provide QOS report
- Proficient in producing technical documentation related to change control processes and root cause assessment.
- Understanding of wholesale telecom billing will be an added advantage
- To provide resolution of issues & maintain high quality standards of support
- End-to-End ownership of resolution of issue raised by the customer.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues raised - proactive / reactive.
- Knowledge of any network monitoring tool (like Zenoss) and troubleshooting network alerts.
- Monitor and maintain space usage, connectivity problems on both Linux and Windows servers.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating systems.
- Database experience (MySql/SQL Server).
- Experience with any ticketing management systems.
- Experience in working on Asterisk VOIP PBX preferred. Past programming experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Access.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to support International customers and interface with executive management.
- Follow-up with various teams external and internal.
Job Specification
Computer Engineering or Telecom Graduate with 3 to 6 years of experience in Operations Center/ Network Operations Center environment/Network Infrastructure Support
- Experience in Nextone & Sonus and other switches
- Manage and review vendor support issues
- Generate reports and review with stakeholders
- Hands on experience of Cisco MGWs/MGX & PGW2200
- TDM (SS7) working experience
- Strong knowledge/understanding of internet protocols and standards (e.g. IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, SNMP)
- IP routing - configuration & troubleshooting
- Understand route tables, CDR, and technical VOIP route terms
- Asterisk VOIP PBX experience and Past Programming experience a plus.
- Routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- End to end LAN management and diagnostics
- Experience in working in 24/7 support environment
- Ability to multi-task, tasks prioritization
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- CCNP certification will be a plus
- Able to interpret and correlate alarms and symptoms to determine actual issue.
- Able to follow written procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, or Perl are a plus.
