Position Overview:

YetiTech is seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer to anchor our Development team as we delve into the nuances of our primary tech stack. With a rich expertise in PHP, TypeScript, and Golang, you will be a key contributor to advancing our Platform-as-a-Product initiative. Collaborating closely with our Technical Product Owners and Principal Software Engineers, you'll help shape and refine our technology roadmap, ensuring we leverage the best practices and potentials of our chosen languages and tools.

More than just technical mastery, we're on the lookout for a leader, someone who can lead, uplift, and amplify the skills of our evolving team through consistent training, mentorship, and a genuine passion for our stack.

Your Role Entails:

Technical Leader: Advocate and pioneer engineering best practices, encompassing coding standards, design guidelines, testing methodologies, and development workflows.

Strategic Innovator: Work in tandem with Software Engineers, sketching intricate technical designs, and sculpting a future-proof technical roadmap.

Collaborative Catalyst: Join forces with product development squads, echoing the groundbreaking innovations conceived by the platform team.

Roadmap Ranger: Engage with Technical Product Owners during discovery, aiding in assessing feasibility, capacity, and risk mapping for technological trajectories.

Governance Guru: Contribute to YetiTech's governance by formulating Guardrails, Guidelines, ADRs, and spearheading our Techradar.

Career Craftsman: Work alongside Team Success Managers to nurture engineers, guiding them on their career paths, and delivering balanced skill evaluations.

Solution Sculptor: Dive deep into software delivery teams, conceptualising, developing, testing, and rolling out multifaceted solutions.

Technical Debt Tactician: Champion the identification, analysis, and management of technical debt within your squad and across YetiTech, strategizing with the Technical

Product Owner to prioritise its mitigation.

Service Sentinel: Design, implement, and oversee your platform's Service Level Objectives (SLOs), ensuring reliability and performance standards are not just met but exceeded.

Cloud Captain: Possess an intimate understanding of Cloud Native application development, steering YetiTech’s endeavours in the cloud landscape.

Microservice Maestro: Leverage your expertise in microservices and containerization to bolster YetiTech’s software ecosystem, ensuring scalability and resilience.
