To manage and maintain Bismillah the Nagri, private Islamic studies centre for females and Private Neuro-Psychiatric clinic, to ensure that they are clean, secure, safe and well maintained.
Main duties:
Locking and unlocking the buildings, as required.
Assisting users with setting up facilities such as chairs, tables etc.
Dealing efficiently with pre-planned maintenance, day to day establishment requirements and problems that may arise.
Undertaking minor repairs to fixtures and fittings.
Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained to the required standard.
Grounds and Garden maintenance.
Assisting with the organisation of Bismillah the Nagri refurbishments.
Porterage (carrying luggage or other loads) around the Bismillah the Nagri site
Monitoring the premises for any hazards, carrying out repairs or reporting problems, where necessary.
Ensuring that all members and visitors adhere to Health and Safety
Sweep main grave site, once per week, maintain cleanliness. Keep locked at all other times.
Maintain and clean other grave site 2, once per week.
Dogs should be fed, watered and water buckets kept well maintained.
If dogs unwell/sick or wounded, take photo and report back to us. Take them to the vets, if necessary.
Only access is allowed for those with permission.
No other personal, friend, associate allowed to visit site unless permission obtained for specific duties/maintenance.
If intruder spotted, try taking a photo or video evidence and send to us. Inform them they must leave site, are illegally trespassing and cameras will identify and report them to the local police.
Only access via the store room, to grave site and gate connecting mosque and clinic complex, no other door/gate to be opened.
General equipment will be kept in store room, for maintenance.
Skills:
Mandatory
Good Numeracy and Literacy skills
Experience that supports maintenance of an aspect of buidlings or premises
Experience that is transferrable to the role
Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice – health and safety
Ability to use a range of tools and equipment, ensuring safe handling and storage.
A sound knowledge of the building cleaning standards contained in the Building Cleaning specification
Experience of carrying out specialist building maintenance work, within the reasonable capacity of a normal handyperson
Ability to carry out repair and maintenance work with expertise in DIY – eg woodwork, plumbing , painting and decorating skills
Experience of record keeping.
Ability to undertake a range of caretaking and cleaning duties and maintenance and repair tasks
Ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload, whilst ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date
Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise
Ability to demonstrate good inter-personal skills to communicate with a range of people and students
Ability to provide high quality supervision to support the Site Manager in working with the Cleaning Staff.
Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the team

Islamic training in Makkah, Medina, Najaf or Karbala
