Responsibilities for API developer
Design, develop, test and implement APIs for use in software applications
Analyse, design, and coordinate the development of major components of the audience management system and downstream APIs including hands on implementation, testing, review, build automation, and documentation
Develop new APIs for use by the marketing development team and Requirements gathering for future development
Provides inputs to API design team for defining appropriate API Governance Standards, Policies and Frameworks
Requirements, design and functional specifications, integrate with and contribute to assigned API
Designing and creating robust interfaces to integrate a variety of systems and technologies to solve business problems and create scalable solutions
Coordinates with backend services and drives end-to-end enterprise service integration
Responsible for mapping, designing specs for transformation between API Gateway and backend service
Develop java libraries to simplify access and usage of APIs and maintain and enhance the Digital Exchange and integrations associated to it
Develop, and architect systems that do one thing really well, with a focus on data consistency and reliability
Work with internal teams consuming the G API to ensure success of their integration and external partners consuming the G API to ensure the success of their integration, and their investment in G Technology
The Travel APIs Expert oversees the implementation and integration of APIs for our travel technology platform.
The role includes being a key field partner for technical teams, working closely with customers, and assisting initial sales and delivery to customers who require advanced technological designs and services.
Follow the root cause analysis for every issue a customer reports and revert with an outcome in due time according to the agreed SLAs.
Build a deep understanding of business requirements and best ways to build integrations / APIs.

Qualifications for API developer
Database and Java and Javascript development experience
Extensive experience with Web Services, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, REST, Web API, JPA
Experience with Java, JSP, XML, XSL, Java Script, XPath, XSLT & XSD
Very strong skills in Java development
Strong knowledge about HTTP, REST and JSON are crucial
Experienced in developing REST APIs
Iterative software development lifecycle and best practices
travel technology area or a similar role; only apply if you have experience in the implementation and integration of travel APIs
Extensive Expertise in the travel industry for a customer-facing role (value add if previously worked with Travel technology companies)
Should have broad knowledge and understanding of online reservation Tools (Flights, Hotels, Holidays)
Excellent communication skills with an advanced level of English (speaking & writing are a must)
Strong understanding of the travel technology industry
Experience with Travel APIs (Flights, Hotels Bed Bank, Car, GDS, Flights & Hotels Aggregators)
Problem solving skills with integration design patters
Passion for new and emerging technologies. Ability to investigate these in depth.
