We are looking for a VBA developer that will be able to support our global team to develop new and supporting existing applications. The main scope of work will include back-end to client-side code, and the design of databases using optimal and efficient structures and patterns in relevant platforms (SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel, VBA, and Power Platform). Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications. Therefore, it’s essential that you are skilled at problem-solving, solution design, and high-quality coding.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop Microsoft Access Databases, including tables, queries, forms, and reports, using standard IT processes, with data normalization and referential integrity.
• Use Visual Basic in Microsoft Applications, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
• Use Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and graphing to streamline business processes.
• Develop test plans and software documentation to support new releases and code modifications.
• Confer with external customers to gain an understanding of needs.
• Assist other staff with development activities.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and established standards are in use.
• Develop advanced solutions on Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps) with different Power Query data sources (SQL server, SharePoint, etc.).

• 1 - 2 years of applications programming experience in the Information Systems industry developing Access databases and using VBA
• Familiarity with Power Query and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps) and SharePoint
• Automotive industry and/or manufacturing industry solutions development experience
• Advanced Excel skills (i.e., complex formulas)
• Able to debug/code difficult functions/macros using VBA.
• Ability to normalize complex data/define referential integrity in Access, MS SQL Server
• Ability to programmatically manipulate worksheets and cell properties using VBA.
• Must possess problem-solving skills and be proactive in researching solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
