Founded in 1968, Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of press freedom and journalistic integrity throughout Pakistan. Our mission encompasses advocating for the safety of journalists, fostering freedom of expression, and supporting the development of quality investigative journalism. PPF is at the forefront of legislative advocacy for journalists' safety, facilitating key networks, and actively participating in global discussions to safeguard press freedoms.


Role Summary:
PPF is in search of a driven Fundraising Coordinator with a strong background in non-profit fundraising, specifically experienced in grants and donor management within the sectors of media or human rights. This role is integral to securing the financial backing required to sustain and grow our initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in developing fundraising strategies, with a particular focus on grants acquisition and managing relationships with both existing and prospective donors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Acquisition: Lead the identification, research, and analysis of grant opportunities from foundations and international agencies. Draft and submit compelling grant proposals, and manage all aspects of the application process.
  • Donor Management: Develop and maintain a robust donor database, ensuring effective communication and relationship building with donors. Implement strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and recognition.
  • Strategic Fundraising Planning: Design and execute a strategic fundraising plan aimed at diversifying and increasing revenue streams, with a strong emphasis on grants and major donor contributions.
  • Financial Reporting and Management: Work closely with the finance team to track donations, manage grant funds, and prepare accurate financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with program teams to align fundraising activities with organizational needs and goals. Engage with external partners and stakeholders to enhance fundraising opportunities.
  • Capacity Building: Stay abreast of trends and regulations in fundraising, grants management, and donor relations. Seek opportunities for professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in non-profit fundraising.

Job Specification

Qualifications:

  • Four-years Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Non-Profit Management, or related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in non-profit fundraising, with a strong focus on grants and donor management.
  • Proven track record in securing grants and managing donor relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive grant proposals and donor communications.
  • Proficiency in using databases for donor management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
