Position: Network Operation Engineer (Cisco Equipment, Linux OS and VSAT Experience)

Job Summary:

As a Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco equipment, Linux OS and VSAT technologies, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our network systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy network solutions using Cisco equipment and VSAT technologies to meet business requirements.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess network requirements and provide recommendations for network improvements or upgrades.
• Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, creation of VLANs, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Configure and manage Yahsat VSAT, iDirect, Comtech terminals and satellite communication systems to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to networking and satellite communications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours.
• Working in shift rotations to give 24/7 support to TheAngle customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Cisco-based network infrastructures.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies.
• Experience with VSAT systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Solid understanding of Linux OS and best practices.
