Medical Coder

1. Perform basic ICD-9 and CPT/HCPCS coding for assigned practices.
2. Should be able to abstract clinical information from encounters/progress notes, diagnostic reports, other relevant documents and assigns appropriate ICD-10 and CPTs.
3. Know several different coding systems including Level 1 CPT codes, level 2 HCPCS and ICD 10 CM and modifier usage.
4. Any other work assigned by the manager.

1. Science background with a minimum of 4 years Bachelor’s degree in medical science or related field (Pham-D, MBBS, BS Bioinformatics/Bio-sciences/Health Sciences/Animal Sciences).
2. Polished, professional, and positive attitude.
3. Should have good communication skills in oral and writing.
4. Relies on limited resources to plan and accomplish goals.
