Ensures proper assembly of machines at the time of delivery to the end-user. Ensures that the machines are operated, maintained and repaired so that machine availability is at a very high standard. Ensures that operators are operating the machines as per the operation manual and in a productive manner. Maintains on month to month basis machine hours worked, maintenance and repairs carried out, cost incurred, fuel consumed and analyze the data in case there are discrepancies. Ensures that room and board for all section employees is adequate and will not be a cause for dissatisfaction of the workers. Makes recommendations and offer solutions to resolve enduser complaints in the most effective and timely manner meeting customer deadlines and minimizing machines downtime. Has a proactive approach to solve a problem/carry out an assignment. Does not have to be pushed or reminded to do so. Visits end-user to offer advice on effective use of the equipment. Trouble shoots problems, repairs end-user machines and also assigns jobs to senior technicians and technicians under his guidance Monitors the quality of work carried out by technicians and gives feedback on their skills and suggestions for further skill development. Provides on-the-job training to team members and technicians on maintaining and repairing customer machines and equipment. Ensures that all bills are paid within the agreed time. Maintains record of expenses incurred Maintains all service procedures, ensuring timely preparation of all related documents and customer machines records.
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in the service, maintenance / repair of construction machines & comprehensive practical knowledge of large machines. Ability to guide and train subordinates (Technicians) on proper maintenance and repairs. Ability to identify the problems in the machines and offer suitable solutions / resolution.
