Job Description
- Review daily and weekly sales summary for assigned categories & replenish the stock timely.
- Develop monthly and annual sales forecast for assigned categories.
- Develop new products/designs in assigned categories in consultation with HOD & sourcing
- Make improvements in existing product range of categories
- To develop supply capability of assigned categories
- To set quality standards/parameters for apparel i.e. fittings, size sets, samples and coordinate with vendor/master until required specs are achieved.
- To visit production unit (as & when required) for apparel during production and inspect the quality as per standard.
- Responsible for deciding stock selection, price range according to market research analysis
- Assessment of product performance, ‘sales’ success and make changes in product range according to market trend.
- Strive to achieve annual sales targets and have strong coordination with the relevant department to achieve the goal.
- Conduct focused analysis of direct & indirect competitors
- Provide maximum product/competitor’s info to sales staff in order to boost their confidence & knowledge.
- Conducting market surveys on frequent basis in order to obtain information and getting customer’s feedback, studying trends and giving feedback.
- Making regular store visits (at least twice a week) to build a relationship with Sales Organization & receive customer feedback.
- Actively developing the assortments by introducing new products based on customer needs, sales and margin contribution, and identifying non-performing articles & make strategies in order to eliminate non performing stocks.
- Coordinating closely with sourcing team in entire product development cycle ensuring that products supplied are suitable for the local market.
- Forecasting the future buy plan (for allotted categories) to define the number of SKUs, quantities, price points
- Present relevant reports to the management on regular basis
- Assist HOD with other tasks as and when required
- Follow company’s defined SOPs and maintain discipline in department
Job Specifiaction:
- MBA (Supply Chain) from good business school
- 3-4 years of working experience preferable in Textile /Retail sector
