As Web Systems Administrator you will administer and build web application layer systems. You will be responsible for installing and configuring web servers, monitoring systems activities, and tuning system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensuring security & accessibility of systems, managing service user accounts, installing and monitoring applications, and identifying and applying software upgrades and patches.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
Two years of System administration experience in a distributed, multi-platform computing environment.
Experience installing and configuring client/server applications.
Experience with web servers (Apache HTTPD, CentOS, Tomcat).
Extensive knowledge of computer operations and administration.
Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
Ability to learn and use scripting languages.
Self-motivation and ability to work without supervision on daily tasks and projects.
Able to work productively as part of a team to complete larger projects.
