Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
Manage the preparation of the company’s budget and report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances;
Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational activities
Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company’s borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations;
Recommend appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows
Assist management in determining the company’s proper capital structure and maintain financial health of the organization.
Advising on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take right decisions through developing effective financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risks;
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
