Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for manufacturing and design of wooden/MDF cabinets. The Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for the effective administration of all plant engineering and maintenance services.
Major tasks, responsibilities and key accountabilities:
* Provides program support for manufacturing operations
* Figure out how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
* Produce and revise CAD drawings as needed for production
* Develop and revise machine program interfaces to meet product specifications and production efficiencies
* Develops and maintains detailed process maps, metrics, and control plans for the key manufacturing processes
* Works with equipment and raw material suppliers and trade groups to identify new technology for improving product performance and cost reduction
* Works to identify and troubleshoot processing issues taking corrective actions as appropriate
Minimum Role Qualifications:
* Candidates must have a BS in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Manufacturing, or similar)
* 3 years manufacturing engineering experience
* Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office
* Possess leadership, project management, and computer skills (including ERP, CAD)
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
Desired Skills:
* Experience with wood machining, sanding, sizing and profiling.
* Experience in cabinet-making preferably with great deal of exposure to similar equipment.
