Experience in the safety field in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility, preferably in the chemical industry.
Must identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices.
Collaborate with appropriate department personnel to resolve identified hazards.
Assist in monitoring contractors and construction activities to ensure safe work practices are being followed.
Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss accidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventative measures and manage the return to work activities.
