AA Web Solutions provide back office and IT support for Green Technologies Ltd. Based in UK & Europe who manufacture plain and printed labels in both roll and sheet formats for B2B and B2C customers, across a broad range of market sectors and industry types. The company, trading as AA Labels has been in existence for 13 years and is continuing to experience strong growth, making it one of the leading suppliers of labels in the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS SENIOR WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER AND TEAM LEAD
We are looking for a sharp and motivated Lead PHP developer who has at least 5 years experience and has the management skills to provide technical support to our development team.
Job Specification
DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inculcate a high performance and delivery culture within the existing team of 5 to 8 members with team 1 leader
- Proactively report on the team performance and present solutions to drive, motivate and develop a high performing team.
- Set and maintain coding standards and practises
- Work closely with the project manager to contribute/create detailed technical and functional specifications
- Work to tight project deadlines
- Research and implement new technologies, tools and methods
- Act as the solution architect on all new product developments
- Work closely with the director based overseas on all aspects of team management.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the business from time to time.
APPLICANT PROFILE – ABILITIES & SKILLS
- 5 years plus demonstrable OOP PHP experience - preferably CodeIgniter or Laravel framework
- English language skills (written and verbal) to a full professional proficiency are essential.
- Strong Javascript and JQuery knowledge
- Experience with (React.JS, Angular.JS, Ember.JS, Backbone.JS, Knockout.js)
- Experience with JSON and XML Third Party API Integration
- Web application security and optimization concepts
- MySQL and/or NoSQL
- Development of RESTful services APIs
- Experience with SVN (GitHub or similar)
The right Lead PHP Developer for this role will be looking to join an environment that they can stamp their mark on, and work with high profile companies on exciting new projects.
