Job Description
1.To take responsibility of a cost-efficient and cost-effective management of different sections/units of hospital pharmacy
2.To prepare a Hospital Formulary on the recommendation of the by the P&T committee and ensuring smooth running of the pharmacy units
3.Preparation of duty rosters and scheduling and controlling of pharmacy staff
4.Should be able to train/supervise the pharmacy staff of IT/pharmacy software and wherever required provide assistance in the development of pharmacy management software programs
5.To be responsible for putting in place timely requisition of drugs to the finance and procurement departments
6.To carry out the developmental plans in pharmacy as required/approved by the DMS
7.To chair or assist as a member the Pharmacy and Therapeutic committees
Job Specification
Education:MPhil/MPharm/DPharm from a reputable institute/university recognized by the HEC
Experience:Preferably a minimum of 5 years hospital pharmacy workplace experience
Skills:
1. Good interpersonal, inter-professional and supervisory skills
2. Excellent computer literacy and relevant software skills required for pharmacy management especially inventory control and scheduling
3. Effective leadership and a humane, professional, and ethical workplace attitude
