UI UX Designer

Responsibilities:

• Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging flows and visual designs for mobile apps
• Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
• Seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems
• Collaborate with other designers and developers to oversee the user experience of new features and products from conception until launch
• High level creative strategy and vision, not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build’
• Provide strategic thinking and leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design process
• Participate in the development process from definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenance
• Stay abreast of UI/UX trends and look for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds
• Research and track advancements in mobile application design patterns
• Break any design problem down into viable actionable chunks and solve them with clarity and precision
• Present and defend design solutions to stakeholders explaining the why behind design decisions

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BS Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Architecture or equivalent work experience
• Five+ years of experience in designing mobile apps
• Knowledgeable in both iOS and Android design best practices, but with a hybrid approach
• Experience prototyping in InVision
• Experience designing in Sketch, Figma , Adobe CC
• Experience using Zeplin
• Ability to work well with ambiguity or when requirements are still in flux
• Proven experience showing clear understanding of the intersection between user needs, technology requirements, and business goals
• Excellent organizational, time and project management skills
• Ability to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable communicating with various levels of leadership and team members
• Experience with motion design preferred
• Experience with Lottie file creation preferred
