Job Description
We are looking for software engineers with extensive experience in software development or candidates with a degree in computer science/engineering to develop new applications and enhancements for AMR software products.
The position involves writing device drivers for the electric, gas and water meters using ANSI C12 standards, building the Desktop Interface, improving meter communication efficiency, working with ANSI C12 standard protocols or custom protocols, design and implementation of new add-on service modules or plugins for the AMR system, and debugging and maintenance of the AMR system
Job Specification
You must have an engineering or a computer science degree, with at least 2 years of experience with object oriented technologies and Java software development preferably in the telecommunications area.
Ability to implement telecommunication protocols, write XML data model given a data structure definition, write device drivers based on the specifications, write database queries and build customized web pages for specific metering devices.
Candidates with the knowledge of J2ME development, Telecommunications software design & Eclipse, RCP, OSGI, C# .Net & .Net Compact Framework, CVS, SVN, Ant will be given preference.
