Job Description
Accountant is required for our Pharmacy chain, who should be able to apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
- Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and accounting reports.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, book keeping and document business transactions.
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Daily Reconciliation of Sales Vs Cash Deposits. Finalization of Retail Sales. Petty Cash Expenses Accounting.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
- Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
- Can handle other staff issues relating to conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
- Extend money for purchases, accept returns. Maintains sales records & place special orders.
- Ensures integrity through monitoring of procedures and policies.
- To carry out, any other duties/activities as and when assigned by the Management.
Job Specification
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail environment.
- Honest and Professional, Well groomed and Courteous.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Knowledge of computer operations.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Some experience in a retail, customer service or sales environment.
