Job Description
Seeking a Business Analyst (BA) with strong experience in equity lending, repo, equity swaps, and most importantly, equity derivatives. The Senior Business Analyst will help client to establish more effective processes to improve production quality, communication and documentation.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in trading systems IT at a broker-dealer, securities finance operation or capital markets division of a major bank. The role will place heavy emphasis on ability to build strong relationships with senior front, middle and back-office personnel, listen carefully and capture business requirements, translate into specifications, both functional and technical and document and execute detailed test plans to high quality. Very strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills is a critical requirement.
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and documenting:
- Detailed Business Requirements
- Functional Specifications
- Transaction Flows, System Data Flows, Deployment Diagrams
- Detailed Test Plans and Test Scripts
- Project Documentation (Minutes, Issues Logs, Closing Documents)
- Gap Analyses
- Use Case Scenarios
- Current State / Future State Analyses
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting interviews with users to gather requirements, documenting and communicating current and target state operating models,
- Collecting feedback on proof of concepts / prototypes,
- Executing functional use cases,
- Creation of formal Test Plans, Test Scripts
- Managing Test Execution,
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing,
- Documenting test results and owning outstanding issues/bugs through to resolution
- Working with Front Office after go-live to ensure business benefit from each delivery
Job Specification
Required Skills:
- Equity Derivatives experience is a must.
- Ability to interact smoothly with Front Office Trading, Senior Management and all levels of middle, back office and technology.
- Experience with order management, execution management and risk management systems interfaces
- Solid understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle
- Structured test design, test plans, issue logs and documentation
- Database Inquiry, SQL,
- IT design E.g. Process Flows, System Interfaces, Screens or Reports
Desired Skills:
- Equity Swaps, experience
- Sound understanding of clearing, settlements, trading p&l, reconciliations processes
- Evidence of experience documenting Use Cases, State and Sequence Diagrams, Data Modeling, etc.
