A UK based I.T Company is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
Responsibilities
Develop new user-facing features
Expert knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, Javascripts & Jquery.
Experience of developing mobile-friendly, responsive websites.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Creation of UI/UX designs
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability and responsiveness
Assure that all user input is validated before the implementation onto the WordPress or any other platforms
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
If working on the predetermined WordPress theme should be able to implement the shopping cart and payment gateways.
Control Panel Management.
User Accounts management, including email and hosting.
Management of the hosting accounts.
Lease with the customer.
Writing proposals for the customers for the quotations and handle customer queries.
Conversion of HTML into WordPress theme is Plus
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS
Proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
