Job Description
General description of duties:
Working under the supervision of the National Project Manager, Gender Justice and Protection Project, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will provide monitoring services for sub-projects implemented by partner organizations to reduce violence against women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Responsibilities:
- Visit project areas, meet partners and beneficiaries;
- Collect and verify Means of Verifications as per Performa 1 and Performa 2 of the monitoring and evaluation system;
- Monitor the process and different stages of projects against delivery and timeframe;
- Verify project expenditure and the adequacy of budget;
- Highlight major problems that are encountered by the partners and propose solutions;
- Assess the overall efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the projects.
Reporting:
- Submit a report on each project of the findings and recommendations.
Job Specification
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
- Masters degree in government and public policy, social or development related studies;
- Three to four years of practical experience in the area of monitoring and evaluation;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent analytical skills; mature judgment combined with a proactive, energetic approach to problem solving;
- Fluency in spoken and written English, Urdu and Pashto;
- Knowledge of and complete comfort with computer applications is essential (including organization of public presentations in PowerPoint);
- Knowledge and experience of working on gender issues.
