Job Description
Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.
Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
Responsible for implementation and release of database changes
Must be OCP (Development Track).
At least one year Development experience with Oracle in Multi-user Environment in a well reputed organization.
Job Specification
1.Must have development experience with following tools;
a.Developer 2000.
b.Oracle Forms 6 & Reports.
c.Oracle Database 8i
2.Exposure to data migration between applications, using SQL Loader, Database Administration, ODBC would be a Plus.
3.Exposure to Oracle Applications would be a Plus.
4.Must be well versed with full development life cycle and preparing technical system documentation.
5.Be able to work as team member.
6.Should be able to handle development projects independently.
7.Should have good communications skills and problem solving attitude.
