Job Description
(Boiler) is responsible for appropriate boiler functioning as per safety standards and timely availability of this utility to the plant for production start up and continuity. He should keep records of process parameters and maintenance. Should Monitor, adjust and maintain different parameters of boiler according to required quality, hygiene and safety. He should ensure implementation of departmental strategies and policies. The job is operation technical in nature with emphasis on the boiler operation and maintenance as per safety standards and coordination with maintenance staff during boiler maintenance. It also demands good ability to have vigorous eye on utilities processes.
Job Specification
Primary Responsibilities:
1.To check and record parameters of boiler for accurate functioning of machine.
2.To analyze hardness and level of water as per Standard requirements of boiler.
3.To ensure PH of water is according to standards required by boiler.
4.To do inspection of boiler before operating it and during its operation, and maintain general cleanliness as per hygiene requirement.
5.To check feed water pump for proper functioning of boiler.
6.To ensure appropriate level of TDs, Silica, Alkaline for boiler to avoid any accident during its operations.
7.To check feed water tank temperature and level.
8.To ensure all work in section is carried as per safety standards.
9.To maintain all documents and log sheets and write activity report of shift in log book and convey any new instruction to the next shift boiler for his guidance.
10.In case of any troubleshooting inform immediately to Circle Leader timely to eliminate problem.
11.To coordinate with production department, to inform them about available boiler utilities required for plant functioning start up.
12.To ensure all PPEs are maintained in the section according to safety standards.
13.To coordinate with Maintenance department for maintenance work.
14.To inform production and maintenance department in case of any trouble for problem handling.
15.To accomplish any other job assigned by Circle Leader in addition to above all responsibilities.
16.Co-ordinate in installation / modification of equipment to improve the production process.
17.Co-ordinate with other colleagues to reduce material losses.
18.Should participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives of equipments by studying and analyzing working principles of the equipment and then training subordinates about them.
19.To develop / assist in developing Kaizen activities to increase the overall equipment efficiency of the machines and zero losses in machine operations.
20.Ensure proper documentation and logging of breakdowns and continuous improvement activities records.
