Job Description
The Senior Platform Engineer envisions, designs, implements, tests, and rolls out platforms to host applications, systems, programmes and database protocols in support of end users’ needs. You define innovative approaches to platform development and integration of security aspects as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Define, Design, implement and improve IT infrastructure, CI/CD platform, processes and standards that are used to support application development lifecycle
- Define, Design and improve the governance of IT infrastructure, CI/CD platform, processes and standards that are used to support application development lifecycle
- Develop prototypes, create software tools for tests and automation, and evaluate latest best practices
- Provide leadership and mentorship to DevOps Team, maintain and promote the DevOps culture
You will also be invited to take part in R&D works done within our Practices. You will have the chance to assist or be a speaker at must-attend international IT conferences.
You will have the opportunity to write articles for our Blog or specialized press. Genuine ambassador of Henka, you will present our offers and take an active role in the development of the company. In addition, you will contribute to the social, environmental and purpose driven objectives and initiatives of Henka in order to positively impact our environment, customers, communities and ourselves as an organization and individual.
Job Specification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as DevOps engineer or similar role.
- Experience with Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with release automation process and tools
- Hands-on experience with on-premise and cloud virtualization platforms (e.g. Openstack, VMWare, AWS, Azure)
- Hands-on experience on troubleshooting network issues
- Experience with Configuration Management
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Very good understanding of cloud computing
- Good understanding of DevOps principles
- Knowledge of test automation
- Experience with developing and implementing processes to handle releases from Development to Operations while respecting internal rules, and offering solutions for rollback
- Experience with designing an architecture to implement development-to-production workflows
- Knowledge of SRE, Containers, Kubernetes, Openshift is a plus
- Good understanding of microservice architecture and DevOps practices that support
- Strong RDMS and NoSQL skill in deploying and fine tuning such as MySQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch
