Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of offshore developers working model development, enhancement and support activities
- Work closely with business analysts and architects to gather requirements and design components
- Develop, document, and support Risk model software
Job Specification
Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:
* 4-6 years development experience
* Strong java development skills including computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms
* Database and SQL experience with at least one major RDBMS product such as Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Sybase, etc.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills
* Ability to manage a small team of developers
* Ability to at least read C++ code
* Clear understanding of concurrent programming concepts and their application in Java
Desired:
* Prior experience with integrating C++ and .NET libraries, MS Office products with Java code
* Linux or Unix experience
* Any experience with distributed, grid computing such as GridGain, JavaSpaces, Map/Reduce
* Prior experience or demonstrated knowledge of fixed income modeling (e.g. term structure modeling), securities pricing libraries, Monte Carlo simulations and numerical analysis is optional, but desired and will be an advantage over other candidates.
Minimum Education, Certification, Training:
BS equivalent degree in a software engineering-related discipline
