Foreign Currency Dealer
Foreign Currency Dealer will deal with all matters regarding the sale and purchase of foreign currency with customers. For this reason, he is to be well versed in the spotting of counterfeit notes as well maintaining a friendly and cordial atmosphere for customers.
S/he will be accountable to the Branch Manager/In charge and the responsibilities of the position require to:
Answer customer questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
Compute and record totals of transactions.
Count FC in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle such situations.
Maintain adequate speed in FC counting and recognizing fake currency.
Obtain the stamp and signature of the Authorized officer for every transaction voucher.
Sort and count currency and coins.
Accurately and carefully handle all currency.
Calculate totals, received and paid during a time period, and reconcile this with total Transactions.
Double check FC counts for every transaction conducted.
Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
Communicate customer requests to management.
Ensure FCs are checked and locked in a safe at the end of each workday.
Ensure that security system is working properly and accurately.
Perform any other tasks as assigned from time to time by the manager.
