Job Description
Job purpose of Assistant shipping manager is support the Team Leader in providing overall management and supervision of the Shipping Team.
Key duties/responsibilities of Assistant shipping manager:
1. Ensure that all Team Members are following the Excel training program
2. Ensure that proper product standards and warehouse procedures are met on a timely basis.
3. Work with and support other functions in the DC such as buyers, transportation, accounting, etc.
4. Establish and maintain collaborative, productive, and supportive working relationships with the Facility Leadership Team, Team Leaders, and all Team Members.
5. Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which sustains an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale. Provide timely, thorough, Team Member performance feedback and evaluations as well as progressive disciplinary actions when needed.
6. Assist with and help supervise the all operation processes of the Shipping Team
7. Complete, refine, and produce operational productivity and analytical reports as well as other special projects as needed.
8. Consistently communicate, model, and enforce company policies, core values, vision/goals, and safety rules
