Job Description
Handling alerts as per the guidelines and use the knowledge-base to do the diagnostics troubleshoot it and resolve the issues pertaining to servers or applications.
Work on best in industry infrastructure, such as RedHat Linux, SUSE Linux, Ubuntu and different monitoring and system tools.
Production Tasks, production controls : - Antivirus related : troubleshoot or escalate antivirus issues - Net-backup related : diagnose server backup issue
This role entails the setup (installation, configuration) of windows servers in accordance with the IPC production standards and procedures.
Linux : troubleshoot or escalate system/application issues - Application related : diagnose and troubleshoot web servers middle-ware.
Must know about ticketing tool Personal skills: - Logical and deductive capabilities (diagnosis oriented)
attitude (works to understand and improve procedures)
Flexible mind (ability to work in different cultural environment)
Is willing to refresh his knowledge and improve on new skills (system middle-ware)
Flexible to work in shifts.
Job Specification
Experience in system administration, monitoring tools - NAGIOS.
Good experience in Linux server & Networking environment
Good skills on scripting ( Perl, VB, Shell) (any one) - ITIL / Linux / MS certification is added value.
With relevant knowledge of OS, applications and databases relevant to Data Center activities.
Preferably with Unix shell scripting or Unix administration knowledge.
Database scripting knowledge will be an advantage.
Good analytical skills and thinks out-of-the-box.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
