Data Base Adminstrator (DBA)
Fast-Nu (Cair), Pakistan

o Establishing operational production profiles, procedures and processes for system maintenance.
o Creating and conducting backup/recovery schemes, network and system integration with the rest of our mixed system environments, etc.
o Database administration tasks include performance monitoring, database partitioning, index creation and rebuilding, and other tuning parameters for optimal performance.
o Other duties as assigned by the PI/Project Director.

o Knowledge of leading database solutions.
o Comfortable with mixed production environments including Microsoft and Linux.
o Extensive System/Database administration experience and/or data architect skills.
o Hands-on experience of administrating, performance tuning, and database application and server maintenance.
o Understanding of data storage, volume management, partitioning, movement, and access of data from physical to application layers.
o Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts will be highly desirable.
o Database/system related certification will be a big plus.
