Job Description
1. Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
2. Analyze CNC machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
3. Disassemble CNC machinery and equipment to remove defective components and make repairs and reassemble equipment.
4. Perform mechanical, electrical & electronic trouble shooting and maintenance.
5. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to identify and recommend required work, so repairs can be scheduled with minimal interruption to production.
6. Perform routine preventative or corrective maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly.
7. Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches.
8. Organize all appropriate records, files and cost studies of maintenance and repairing for future reference.
9. Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
10. Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine and installed new pipe.
11. Read manuals, blueprints, schematics, diagrams and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly and/or repair.
Job Specification
1. Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of verifiable experience/track record in CNC Machine Maintenance; however, experience may substitute for education.
3. Must have experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machines.
4. Must have pneumatic, hydraulic and spindle install and alignment experience.
5. Experience in electronic troubleshooting skills and AC/DC motor drives.
