Job Description
Web copywriters are the people who come up with the online text for advertisements, press releases, promotional material, blog article writing and corporate web content. Obviously they must have a way with words and be able to come up with clear and concise web content in a short period of time.
As a result, the web copywriter needs a good working knowledge of web design and usability, and ideally technical aspects such as HTML, CSS and SEO.
The typical creative process can involve:
- discussing the client's core message and target audience
- brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team
- writing and presenting a few options to clients
- modifying copy until the client is satisfied
- overseeing the production phase.
