Job Description
To effectively monitor purchase related activities as per the procedures of Procurement To manage, guide and control all purchases by Buyers and ensure their up-gradation and adequate training on ERP Debottlenecking of systems and procedures, as and when required, for the smooth functioning of Procurement To build up and continuously expand a database of reliable & competitive suppliers for effective sourcing Sourcing/pre-qualifying potential suppliers To continuously source equivalent materials that are less expensive but conform to the specifications that are acceptable to customers As and when required, provide current market rates of materials to Proposal Department for pricing bids to secure further business To ensure consolidation of the requirements of standard consumables and tools, in consultation with Stores Department, for establishment of rate running contracts on attractive commercial terms To supervise all functions of Imports/Exports, SROs management and Custom Clearance and transportation Co-ordination and Implementation of activities of Stores department for effective Inventory management and Control Ensures adequate Human Resources for Procurement with technical background, commercial aptitude and requisite experience To perform risk assessment of Procurement activities and define objectives & management programs to achieve these objectives
Job Specification
