For those who haven’t read Danielle Steel or who have asked me for the review about her book “Friends Forever”, here is my review before it gets too late.

Danielle’s Friends Forever, is approximately 380 pages’ book with twenty-three chapters in it. The genre I would include this novel is Drama. This book, Friends Forever is the story of Five children who meet on their first day of school. Gabby, Billy, Izzie, Andy and Sean. The novel tells a complete story of how they grew up and how life affected them with details of each year. The language Steel used is really colloquial. The overall impact of the novel is great and indeed everlasting. It traumatizes you for enough time that you could hardly concentrate on any other novel. As it was for me though.

What I believed is Steel wasn’t able to do justice with her 5 characters. It occurs to me just a story of one character Izzie, her journey in life and how she gets affected by others character and how she deals with the things. She gives a vivid sketch for her other characters through her this writing style. As we don’t get to know her other characters more closely as we get to know Izzie. And Fellows don’t get dishearten because yes the novel has a happy ending or it will be better if I say exactly how it should End.

One more thing that pinched me while reading was that Why has she discussed more about family than Children? But yes, she is right in doing that because at younger age you hardly have your own opinions and all she has shown through that is how have they groomed and the personalities they have become are the consequences of hardships they have faced in their Early ages. Steel progresses slowly and gradually her starting chapters are more detailed and tiresome. Her more focus was on developing the atmosphere and backgrounds around the characters rather than detailing the characters. Well the last thing didn;t sound confusing in my head. I hope you people understand that one.
