Full Time, Worked from Mar 5, 2007 to Jan 15, 2016 as Senior Accounts Officer
Pros:
Siddiqsons Industries(pvt) Ltd. is a well group of companies working in different areas of business like Tin plate, Textile processing , Coldstorage,  Amusement Park, Garments , Agriculture etc. I have worked in their Textile processing Unit and found it to be very challenging. The owners are very enthusiast about improvering the working conditions and overall business of the company. Most of the managers working on key positions have worker with the company for atleast past 15 years. So have complete understanding of the business. The owner always encourages new employees to show their potential.  All the managers working close to the owner are rewarded high compensation and fringe benefits. This company offers in-depth learning environment both for the professionals of finance and accounts and professionals related to the field of textile. As the company deals both in imports as well as in exports so the employee has an idea of both. The organization has witnessed only a couple of promotions and even these were because of the reason that either the person died or left the company to pursue better opportunities. Otherwise not a single person has been promoted in the past 10 years. Currently the company is facing severe decrease in business so it intends to give on rent some of its premises portion and also intended to short size the work force. 

  1. Best learning opportunity for new of fresh graduates. 
  2. Have a chance to learn the office internal politics
Cons:
  1. No chance of promotion.
  2. No increase in salary
  3. Can be fired anytime
  4. A labor worked 25 years was fired in a single day and his gate was stopped. So can not inform directors or owners . no payment of any gratuity or pension no other benefits were paid to this person. 
Advice to Management:
  1. Immediately appoint new professionals on all key positions. 
  2. Give golden hand shake to old ones. (payments in installments).
  3. Appoint only those who are atleast masters or MBA with working experience in better organization.
  4. Work with fresh mind and continuously review performance of new officials. 
  5. Set targets and compensate only and strictly on performance basis.
  6. Do let any chain or mafia created in the company.
  7. Don't let internal auditor mixup and make friendship with other officials. 
  8. All the technical formulas used in company in manufacturing or processing fabric should be compared with the company of similar kind or should be approved by an independent expert.
