Job Description

  1. Recruit top talent including sourcing, interviewing and reference checking.
  2. Determine and implement recruiting best practices.
  3. Partner with managers to determine requirements for the position and qualities of an ideal candidate.
  4. Post positions that will attract top talent/create advertising.
  5. Ensure that personnel requisitions are completed in a timely manner.
  6. Work with managers to create job descriptions and post job descriptions.
  7. Conduct reference checks.
  8. Conduct phone interviews and face to face interviews.
  9. Schedule interviews for internal and external applicants.
  10. Administer background investigations with administrative assistance.
  11. Partner with management to determine appropriate compensation packages.
  12. Draft offer letters.
  13. Manage the requisition log and applicant/interview/hire reports.
  14. Create relationships with Universities and post positions on University web sites.
  15. Negotiate temporary services terms.
  16. Continuously analyze current compensation structure to ensure internal and external market equity.
  17. Prepare recruiting strategy on an annual basis.
  18. Serve as backup to other Generalist when needed for benefits and HRIS needs.
  19. Partner with other HR staff for event planning activities.
  20. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Specification

The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling.
